Look beyond the adult insects. Clothes moth larvae are responsible for the damage, so webbing, larvae or other signs of activity deserve attention.
To eliminate larvae, try washing infested items in hot water if indicated (above 50°C/122°F) or freeze them in sealed bags for at least 48–72 hours.

How many bloqs do I need?

Here’s what we’ve found works best over more than 25 years of helping protect clothes and linen, naturally.

Drawers
Start with one Bloq or Clothes Companion sachet per standard drawer, or two for larger drawers around one metre wide.

Hanging Spaces
Allow around one Aroma Bloq per 60cm of hanging rail. If you have double hanging rails, double the quantity of bloqs.

Linen Cupboards
Place Clothes Companion sachets or Bloqs amongst stored linens, adjusting the number to suit the size of your space and your fragrance preference.

How long do they last?

Our amazing little Bloqs and sachets can provide fragrance and protection for up to two years. When the scent begins to fade, simply scratch the surface to remove the oxidised outer layer and release more of the fragrance within. Then pop your Bloq or sachet back inside its protective packaging to avoid direct contact between the essential oils and clothing or surfaces.

The Bug Banish Herbal Bloq has a powerful blend of six essential oils and whilst its lovely packaging emphasises banishing bugs, it is just as effective as our other Bloqs. Sandalwood is our most popular Aroma Bloq fragrance, but rest assured, all fragrances work equally as well.

Yes. Bell Art Bloqs and Clothes Companion are made with natural ingredients and are safe to use in homes with pets when used as intended. They’re designed for wardrobes, drawers and cupboards, where pets typically don’t have access.

They’re not intended for consumption, of course, but if a curious pet does manage to nibble one, the natural soap-like base may cause a mild upset stomach. For peace of mind, we recommend keeping them in closed wardrobes and drawers or otherwise out of reach of curious pets.
