AUSTRALIAN MADE
Made here. Giving back here.
Australia is the very essence of Bell Art, and our connection to it is woven through everything we do, from the flora that inspires us to the people and businesses who help bring our products to life. We’re proud that everything we create is designed here, more than 85% of our range is made here, and every Bell Art product sold helps support the important work of the Australian Flora Foundation.
DESIGNED & MADE HERE
Supporting Australian skills and makers
Every Bell Art product is designed in Australia, and wherever possible we make it locally too. Today, more than 85% of our range is made here, working with Australian manufacturers, craftspeople and specialist suppliers across the country.
Choosing local production helps support Australian skills, jobs and businesses, and that matters to us deeply. It also keeps us closely connected to how our products are made and the quality we expect from them.
PROUDLY AUSTRALIAN MADE
Which Bell Art products are made in Australia?
Authenticity and transparency matter to us. When we say Australian made, we want you to be able to trust it, which is why the country of origin is clearly identified on every product page. You'll see that the vast majority of the Bell Art range is made in Australia, including our Aroma Bloqs & Natural Protection range, most placemats and coasters, all of our greeting cards, stationery and paper products and our lovely teas and soaps.
We go to great lengths to find Australian manufacturers with the skills and capabilities needed to make our products locally. Where that isn’t possible, we carefully select trusted overseas production partners who share our expectations for quality and responsible production.
Our trays, cork-backed placemats and coasters, tea towels and tote bags are currently made overseas. Wherever a product is made, every Bell Art piece is designed in Australia and features Meryl Bell’s original artwork.
TREADING LIGHTLY
Thoughtful choices, from materials to making
Caring for Australia also means thinking carefully about the impact of what we make. We choose eco-friendly papers and inks, use natural and organic materials across products including our fabrics, teas, soaps and bloqs, and work to minimise waste and maximise recyclability throughout our printing and production process.
Together, these choices reflect one of our core values: creating beautiful, useful products with care for the places and natural world that inspire them.
GIVING BACK, ONE PRODUCT AT A TIME
Coming full circle
Australian flora has inspired Bell Art from the very beginning, through Meryl’s paintings and every collection that has followed. Through our longstanding support of the Australian Flora Foundation, every Bell Art product sold helps fund their vital scientific research into the biology, conservation and cultivation of our country's extraordinary native flora.
For us, it feels like a natural full circle. The flowers that first inspired Meryl’s art continue to inspire Bell Art, while every purchase helps support the research and care that will help protect them for generations to come.
About the Australian Flora Foundation
Established in 1981, the Australian Flora Foundation is an independent not-for-profit organisation dedicated to fostering scientific research into Australia’s flora. Through its research grants, the Foundation supports work that helps improve our understanding, conservation and cultivation of native plants and the ecosystems that depend on them.
