Nine flowers, one Australian story
Meryl created the Floral Emblems series with an ambitious idea in mind: to make these nine paintings a definitive artistic representation of Australia’s national, state and territory floral emblems. Each flower was given its own presence, captured with extraordinary attention to colour, form and detail.
Together, the works became Meryl’s ode to Australia through its flowers, nine individual emblems united in one elegant and spectacular series.
